Morgan Brown

President

Originally from Houston, TX, Morgan has found himself involved with entrepreneurial ventures throughout his life. Whether it was opening a new restaurant in Hanover, NH, closing a website design firm after just 6 months, or providing competitive entertainment on Thursday nights with his Bar Sports League in Stamford, CT, Morgan has always found himself excited by the ever-changing nature of entrepreneurship.

After graduating from Dartmouth College, Morgan worked in CPG consulting in Connecticut for Cannondale Associates where he used marketing analytics to help manufacturers of consumer goods better position their products to retailers. He came back to McCombs because he knew that he needed to learn more about all aspects of business if he wanted to really run his own someday.

In addition to Entrepreneur Society, Morgan is a VP in the Graduate Business Technology Group, a member of the wine, golf, and soccer clubs, and one of the MBA Bloggers. You can view his and other bloggers’ blogs at: http://blogs.mccombs.utexas.edu/mba-students/.

Kim Bell

VP

Kim grew up in Houston and attended The University of Texas at Austin where she was a member of the Texas Cheerleading team and VP of Networking for the Sports, Entertainment and Media Association.  Upon graduating with a degree in Communication Studies, Kim moved to New York City where she first spent several years working in entertainment marketing and later in client relations for an investment bank.

Knowing she wanted to start her own business and plant roots in Austin, Kim decided to return to UT and pursue her MBA at the McCombs School of Business.  In addition to serving as a Vice President for the Entrepreneur Society, Kim is also actively involved in Graduate Women in Business as well as the Wine Club.

Currently, Kim is in the process of starting her own business venture—a boutique fitness studio with a unique “spin” on the traditional workout.    When she’s not doing schoolwork or putting in hours on her company, Kim can be found running the trail around Lady Bird Lake, relaxing at Mozart’s Café or indulging in her favorite treats at the Hey, Cupcake! trailer on South Congress.
